From the Ground Up with Founder/CEO Giovanni Gussen

Giovanni Gussen is a 24 year old entrepreneur, from Mullica Hill, New Jersey, and founder of ZonedIn (@zonedin) . Before creating his start up company, Giovanni got front row seats to watch some of his favorite entrepreneurs build their business from the ground up. These entrepreneurs he was blessed to see first hand were his parents. His parents have been owning and operating an Italian restaurant in South Jersey since he was a child, so the skill set of being an entrepreneur naturally became apart of his DNA.

Before starting his own venture Giovanni excelled on the baseball diamond. This was a passion he had his whole life so much so that he earned the opportunity to play at Rider University. His experiences through the recruiting process sparked the concept of ZonedIn. He was apart of a four-time state championship winning team and arguably one of the best baseball schools in the country, Gloucester Catholic. With all the success and talent his team had, he consistently saw kids on his team not receive the attention they deserved. The consistent pattern of investing thousands of dollars on showcases, and third party recruiting services but still falling short of college scholarships did not sit well with him. This is where ZonedIn comes in.

The mission of ZonedIn is to be the most effective online platform for athletic recruiting. When asked what makes this different from any other recruiting service Giovanni told us, “We’re expanding beyond the typical recruiting platform and bringing live streaming to amateur sports nationwide…giving every athlete an equal opportunity to be seen.” This is no easy task, and the ups and downs of the entrepreneurial journey are inevitable, but the opportunity to change millions of lives is something Giovanni could not pass up. With the streaming world becoming more popular and amateur sports becoming big time events, this founder has found his niche at a prime time. If Giovanni can continue to progress ZonedIn could be the next big thing in amateur sports.
